Master Thesis – Survival Analysis for HV Battery Failures

The automobile industry’s transition to electric vehicles is accelerating, with this paradigm shift, the efficiency and reliability challenges for these complex physical systems are increasing. Since the battery is the most important component in an electric vehicle, we would like to enable the possibility for predictive technical actions based on available fleet data. Therefore, the aim of this master thesis is, to use of state-of-the-art survival analysis techniques, in order to develop a statistical model, which can estimate the remaining lifetime of the battery for a certain failure type. More information here.
